How to Apply

Affirm Training programs are offered on a regular basis. It’s important to read all the course documentation and ensure you have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) before enrolling in any nationally recognised training. All persons wanting to complete any nationally recognised courses must by law hold a USI number.

Steps on How to Apply

Step 1 - Ensure you have a USI. Visit https://www.usi.gov.au/

Step 2 - Review course information including eligibility and entry requirements

  • Eligibility
Eligibility for training will be different for each course and may include requirements such as Australia/NZ residency or citizenship. You should understand and check the course eligibility requirements before applying for training.
  • Prerequisites
For some courses you may need to successfully complete other qualifications before enrolling, these are called prerequisites. For instance, HLTAID003 Provide First Aid is a prerequisite for Certificate II in Security Operations.
  • Other requirements
In some cases, there may be various other requirements to enrol in a course. This may include, but is not limited to a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test (LLN), a candidate interview and acknowledgement of certain policies and procedures as provided by Affirm Training. Some of these requirements may be undertaken after the enrolment application is complete.
  • It is important that before enrolling you read the Affirm Training Pre enrolment information

Step 3 - Complete Enrolment Application and Training consent

Depending on the course, enrolment may include completion of an online form, or a pdf application (FOR 270 - Enrolment Application Form).
